Compact yarn spinning machines manufacture yarns with greater uniformity than those manufactured on conventional ring spinning machines. Compact yarn spinning eliminates the spinning triangle, which causes yarn breaks and hairiness, and results in compact yarns that maintain their hand and volume. Good results have been obtained for manufacturing cotton and aramid yarns on compact spinning machines.
