McCoy-Ellison's Magnatense yarn Tensioning device is used specifically for fiberglass, industrial, and heavy denier yarns. Tension is added to the yarn by an adjustable electromagnetic field, which is controlled by a central unit with up to six individual zones. The Magnatense comes in two tension ranges:5 to 35 grams and 10 to 130 grams. It can be fitted with an infrared sensor that detects yarn breaks or sangs and sends a stop motion to the warper.
