A relatively recent type of yarn, chenille represents one of the most demanded products in the textile secotr, with sales figures which have grown steadily for some time now. Giesse, Calenzano (near Florence), has been operating in the chenille machinery sector for about 30 years. In 1973, Giesse built the first chenille yarn machine with a continuous supply system. In time, the company introduced new machine models, and in the early 1990's launched the first AC 91/E machine, the only fully electronic machine of this type. Up to date, Giesse has sold 35 thousand chenille spindles all over the world.
