A mathematical model determines the dynamic characteristics of a high-speed yarn laydown mechanism using a helical reel and yarn guide made into a single unit with a bob. The model examined the kinematic external action on the bob from the side of the helical reel channel. The bob was shown to have definite form and dimensions. Frictional forces acted on the bob as it moved in the channel, and forces of yarn tension acted on the yarn guide. Together, these forces affected the movement of the bob in the channel. The model was also used to determine the deformation of the bob. 1 ref.
