The strength of cable yarns can be improved by judicious choice of a singles and cabling twist multiplier (TM). Reduction of singles TM from 4.2 to 3.6 gives higher cabled yarn strength for 60s/2/3 as well as improvements in the gray as well as improvements in the gray cabled yarn increases with reduction of singles TM, it becomes insignificant after scouring and dyeing.
