Describes the innovations introduced by Schlafhorst in the new Autoconer 338 which has set a new milestone in the history of automatic package winding. The main innovations are: the Autotense yarn tension regulator which measures, and adjusts, the tension at each winding position constantly; the upper-yarn search is sensor controlled so reducing waste; the ATT Auto Torque Transmission which ensures direct influence of the winding head control on the yarn guide drum; AVC Automatic Vacuum Control on the suction plant reduces energy consumption as the speed of the vacuum pump is controlled to match volume flow requirement; decentralized organization of caddy flow transporting bobbins and empty tubes; and an upgraded informator screen with touch sensitive controls.
