Research into the features of producing combined yarn by the air-jet techique

Atechnological process for obtaining combined yarn is analyzed. The process is based on application of air-jet technique with a false twisting effect obtained by a twisting device in the active zone of the drafting device. Equations describing yarn parameters in dependence on the construction of the air-jet device were elaborated. Different experimental mixed yarns were produced according to the results of optimization, achieved thanks to the presented analysis. Selected properties of yarns manufactured by the traditional process and by the new experimental one are compared and presented in tables.
