Development of the reeling machines of three-dimensional type silk material 'Silk Shell' and the production (Japanese)

In order to apply for the silk to an interior field, the authors developed the three-dimensional type silk material (Silk Shell) made directly from cocoon filaments; one type is a cone or a pyramid state, the other is a spherical state. Reeling the cone or pyramid type 'Silk Shell', various complicated patterns of cocoon filaments were produced by changing the parameters of the traverse width, its speed and its repeatable times. On the other hand, the cocoon filaments complicated patterns for the sphere type 'Silk Shell' were produced by changing the sphere wheel's revolution speed and the cocoon filaments winder's revolution speed. Thus, by developing these new type reeling machines, various styles of lampshades were produced and marketable.
