C.B. Goldner GmbH manufactures medium staple yarns via compact spinning. CBG Com-Pact yarn is less hairy than other yarns, with almost no long hairiness above 3 millimeters. It features parallel fiber orientation, a slight spiral, and an almost circular cross section. These properties increase yarn strength and elongation compared with conventional ring spun yarns and reduce warp and weft breaks during weaving. The yarn facilitates significant increases in weft speeds and reduces the required amount of size. Fabrics woven from these yarns have better tear propagation resistance. The yarns facilitate clear stitch formation during knitting.
