An unconvertional way to manufacture cost effective denim fabric

A study was undertaken to minimise or reduce cost and variability problems in conventional denim production. Using indigo dyed cotton fibre, grey cotton fibre and 246 denier polyester filament yarn, two techniques were tried for yarn preparation: Ring spinning and Dref spinning. Results suggest that the technique has high potential for product diversification, through changing the fibre components.
