The present work aims to study the spinning parameters on fibre maturity and its importance. The maturity of cotton plays an important role in determining yarn quality. Immature fibres cause wastage of dyes as well as shade variation. One high maturity ratio cotton and two low maturity ratio cotton fibres were used taking the latest machine for the processing of the fibres. Various properties of the fibres such as yarn strength, micronaire and total imperfections were studied.
