The Expofil Yarn Show in June 2002 is previewed-the full spread of yarns and textile fibres will be covered and the multi-sector and high-fashion content will remain unchanged. The international applications are discussed and 200 exhibitors representing 18 countries are registered. Independence has been chosen for Autumn/Winter 2003/2004, sub-divided into Autogenous, Emancipated and Fanciful. The Trends zone will contain Fibre Projections Nouveau regards and a Furnishing Forum. A specific event is being launched for apparel weavers alongside the largest international exhibition of the sector. Location and timing changes for the New York Yarn Fair are discussed. The structure, processing capabilities, outlets and main product ranges are briefly reviewed for nine new exhibitors-AK-AL -Tekstil (Akkok group), Coutier (France), Fung Luen Wood Textiles (Japanese Toyoshima subsidiary), Inca (Peru), Industrial Textil Piura (Peru), Torcitura B & B (Italy), Textiles Del Sur (Peru), Korteks (Turkish Zorlu group subsidiary) and Svilosa (Bulgaria). The FIL Event for the circular knitting and weaving industries is separately reviewed.
