Over the last three decades rotary-screen printing has become the most important technique for textile printing. In discussing the challenges for the next decade, this paper identifies the trend towards shorter run lengths, particularly in Western Europe, as a major issue. It goes of to discuss the recent technical developments from Stork in the field of machine manufacturing with reference to the use of computer-aided design, measures for reducing fabric waste, reducing paste losses and minimizing down-times.
