The Textile Printvision patterning system applies designs directly to fabric without printing blocks, machines, tables, or pastes. Designs created on a computer aided design (CAD) system are transferred directly onto the textile by means of environmentally friendly dry print process dyestuffs. The printed fabrics have high lightfastness and washfastness, and retain their soft hand. The process is applicable to both light and heavy weight products, including catpets. Any size of print can be produced using the proper software. The new system can be used either with a direct CAD connection or as a stand-alone system. The system received the Musterland Innovation Prize.
