A review of computer controls used in dyeing machines focuses on products from Beacon Controls and Barco-Sedo. These controls range from simpe devices to monitor and adjust time and temperature to completely automated systems that integrate every dyeing function. Beacon Controls manufactures a range of computer contorls that fit on existin gdyeing machines. The simplest device is the low cost Model 101 that replaces some mechanical controls. Its most complex product is the 2800 centralized, supervisory control system, which is capable of computer integrated manufacturing. Barco-Sedo's SedoMAT dyeing machine controller monitors and adjusts a variety of dyeing functions, including dosing, pH contol, seam detection, filling, and rope circulation, The ColorITM color matchin system manages dye formulation information. The SedoMASTER system provides integrated, centralized control of all dyeing functions.
