Pleva's AF310 monitoring system easily fits onto existing dye padders. The AF310 continuously measures and controls dye application alosng the length and width of the padder. It alerts operators to variations in dye pickup and compares preset with actual pickup values, facilitates adjustment of the pad mangle, and automatically corrects side center side shade defects. The AF310 uses noncontact microwave emitters and receivers in accordance with ISO and BS quality standards. Calculations by Pleva engineers indicate that the AF310 reduces dyestuffs consumption by 17 percent per padder. At typical dyehouses, this rate would rturn the purchase and installation costs of the AF310 within four monthes.
