Waste mininization and waste reduction decrease waste liability and mininze the costs associated with waste collection, handling, and treatment. Waste minimization can be an effective waste management strategy for textile dyeing operations. the wastewater volume and the concentration of chemicals used during dyeing can be reduced by careful resource managemtnt. Waste of chemicals, chemical substitution, and process subsequent treatment processes. Important waste problems that deserve further investigation include color in effluent, trace quantites of heavy metals, high concentrations of salts, and low biological oxygen demand/chemical oxygen demand rations.
