In vestigationns into AOX pollution in waste water from the textile industry

The Insitut fur Textile-und Verfahrenstechnik (ITV) Denkendorf carried out fundamental research into the concentration and sources of AOX (adsorbale organi halogen compunds) in textile waste waters, based on data from 12 firms in Germany including 3 in the former GDR. AOX investigations were carried out on mixed waste water as a whole, waste water from a particular process (textile printing) and water used for wet processes; textile substrated, including rea fabric and finished substrates; and dyestuffs and textile improvers. The paper is continued in a later issue.
