A process for dyeing an article containing nylon fibres with an anionic dye comprises: immersing the article in a liquid dyebath containing a non-aqueous solvent medium; heating the dyebath; adding the anionic dye to the dyebath at a rate of about 0.0005 to 0.5％ dye/min based on the weight of the article; and stirring the dyebath to cause the dye to be transported to the article.
