Mortamet International's ER5X and ER5S emerizing machines are equipped with five or six single or double sided emery rollers with working widths from 1,800 to 3,000 millimeters. The quality and effect of emerizing can be changed by clothing the rollers with a variety of emery papers. Paper replacement takes less than 2 minutes. Clothing length and area are adjustable. A bursh and suction system prevents roller soiling. Production speeds range from 8 to 40 meters per minuted. Replacement of the pneumativally applied rubber covering on the steel roller is imple, and this covering can be embossed for special effects. Seam detectors improve machine response to differences in fabric thickness.
