Studies on colour removal by activated charcoal

Batch adsorption studies are carried out using different classes of dyes in aqueous solutions as coloured water with activated charcoal. The effect of the variables, namely carbon loading, pH of solution, dye concentration, and shaking time on adsorption are studied. Results obtained are encouraging.
