Process for recycling denim waste

A method of making denim fabric comprises: removing starch and size from denim waste; gametting the waste to produce fibres of about 0.4 inches in length; opening and carding the fibres; and spinning the fibres to produce a yarn. A woven or knitted fabric can be made up containing about 40％ of the recovered fibres. IPC D06M.
