A dye applicator for dyeing a textile comprises an elongate container having a first opening into an internal chamber for receiving dye under pressure. A second opening in the container extends from an inlet at the internal chamber to an outlet at the external surface of the elongate container for releasing dye from the internal chamber into the textile as is passes against the outlet of the second opening.
