ITMA 1995 Preview - Dyeing and Finishing.

In the design and operation of dyeing and finishing machines and equipment exhibited at ITMA 1995, the most important trends will be multifunctionality, a low level of environmental impact, and a high level of monitoring to improve reproducibility. Many lines are capable of performing a range of processes, such as dyeing and water extraction or enzyme treatments and milling, either in sequence or in combination. Highly specialized lines will be exhibited by some companies for enzyme treatments and biopolishing. This exhibition will probably also see the introduction of a pilot line for the supercritical carbon dioxide dyeing of polyester yarns. Manufacturers will increasingly integrate automation and centralized control systems into their lines, as well as computer aided systems and colorimetry. In the use of colorimetry in dyeing lines, important advances in the software for portable equipment have recently occurred.
