Disperse Dyeable Polyester Filament Under the Normal Pressure.

In April 1995, Toray Industries will launch Poliloft, a polyester filament dyeable with disperse dyes at 98 degrees centigrade and under normal pressure. Poliloft allows polyester filaments to be dyed with dyeing machines currently used for dyeing nylon at normal temperatures and pressures. In blends with natural fibers, polyester filaments can be dyed without degrading their performance properties or appearance. Toray developed Poliloft by combining uniform and stable special melt spinning technology with special polymerization techniques to enhance the performance of conventional polyester filaments. The improved polyester filament is able to maintain the strength, elongation, and shrinkage propeties of conventional polyester.
