The treatment of dyehouse wastewater using a process known as COE (Catalytic Oxideation of Effuents) is described. The process is reported to decolorize, detoxify and deodorize effluents, while also significantly reducing their chemical oxygen demand. Catalysed oxidation using hydrogen peroxide can achieve colour reducting of around 99％ and toxicity reduction of 95％.
