Growth in cotton/Lycra knitwear has been Strong. Blends of 95 percent cotton and 5 percent Lycra present no problems in dyeing and finishing. As the percentage of Lycra increases, however, it becomes more difficult to keep fabric weight constant. Brazzoli's Saturno Turbo machine is optimal for dyeing open widths of these blends. Its major advantage is the elimination of the use of the bag stitching cycle, which is used conventionally to ensure dye uniformity. The line combines two systems: an overflow system that characterizes Brazzoli's rope dyeingmachines and the Turbo bath booster. The Saturno Turbo is notable for its high rate of circulation (400 meters per minute), excellent penetration and dyeing uniformity, and high level of automation.
