New chemical processing machinery and technologies, as presented at ITMA 1995, have developed rapidly. Fabric preparation equipment includes units from Benninger, Kleinwefers, Babcock, and Kusters. Monforts, Burckner, and Krantz are marketing new tenter designs. Dyeing machines by Gaston County, Longclose, Krantz, Laip, and others demonstrate the steady development in this area since the introduction of the jet dryer 40 years ago. In yarn package dyeing, the development of the OBEM system includes robotics for materials handling. Other machines of interest at the exhibit include automatic dye dispensing machines by Mutschink, Vanwyk, Lawer, Datacolor and Laip; finishing systems by Santex; and state-of-the-art printing equipment by Buser, Reggiani, Stork, and Zimmer && Viero. Environmentally friendly dyeing is achieving importance in the industry. Total Process Control packages by Sestex and Babcock provide a recycling system for the dyeing process.
