ITMA 1995 introduced new trends and developments in laboratory equipment and colorimetry. Dyeing equipment developments include detailed improvements in existing program control, storage, process data documentation, and electronic and measurement equipment, as well as an extension of the number of dyeing stages. Continuous dyeing equipment offers a range of such technical advances as improved monitoring devices and programmability. Other innovations include laboratory liquor preparation equipment, piece goods batchers, rapid extraction units, dye liquor meters, and printing pastes and color control equipment. Improvements to measuring equipment hardware in colorimetry include ease of operation, portable color measuring instruments, long term measurement accuracy and consistency, and test specimen positioning. Standard colorimetry system software now includes colorimetric quality, dye formulation, and recipe filing control.
