At ITMA 1995, Babcock Textilmaschinen GmbH intruduced its Babco-Flex dye padder, which comprises a flexible roller pressed against a full cored roller. To ensure absolute uniform pressure across the entire fabric width, Babcock matched the dimensions of each roller width. Because no moving parts are employed, the rollers are wear-free. With a Flinite element program and the use of high strength steel, the Babco-Flex dye padder offers increased extraction capacity and improved selvage/middle selvage adjustability. Such no wear components as pneumatic bellows and levers help make seam passage ideally damped. A high degree of extraction capacity is attained by means of optimum elastomeric roller coating. Short fabric feed with adjustable spreader and bow rollers makes it possble to dye woven and warp knit fabrics.
