Vald. Henriksen and Fong's National Engineering Company developed Dynawash, a rope dyeing and washing machine that reduces water consumption and achieves shorter processing times. The inflating device ensures a gentle treatment of knit fabrics and prevents crease marks and fabric elongation. The overflow rinsing system reduces pilling and foam creation, problems that are encountered in conventional which dyeing machines. A rinsing process for 100 kilograms of 100 percent cotton fabrics in the Dynawash could take 15 minutes and consume 600 liters of water, compared with 60 minutes and 1,500 liters of water in a conventional rinsing process. The installation of a gentle rubber coated squeezing roller between the transport roller and after the inflating device makes it possible to remove excess water from the fabric before it reenters the dyebath.
