An overview of batch dyeing equipment exhibited at ITMA 1995 describes product developments from leading manufacturers of jiggers, package dyeing machines, jet dyeing machines and supercritical fluid dyeing systems. In addition to further automation of the batch dyeing process, key trends focused on reducing cycle time and water consumption in jets, reducing abrasion and tension on fabrics in jets, improving flow reversal mechanisms in package dyeing machines, improving robotics for materials handling in package dyeing, and equipping jiggers with electronically controlled drives.
