In textile finishing residual chemicals from the preceding stages can cause damage during later stages. A description is given of a discontinuous measuring technique for determining residual chemicals in the fabric for all finishing sectors without damaging the goods is described. A rapid extraction method involves the use of Morapex equipment. The method aids production control and quality assurance in the laboratory and the mill, especially in the jet and which dyeing sectors.
