Membrane filtration techniques in dyestuff recovery

During the past decade, the utilization of membrane-based separation processes has been under active development in both the textile and dyestuff industries. This particular technology has progressed to the point of producing high-quality wastewater, which either satisfactorily meets the stringent requirements for discharge or is acceptable for reuse in fabric preparation, dyeing, and finishing processes. The practicality of membrane filtration is shown by its ability to separate various types of wastewater into two streams, a concentrate and a permeate. The concentrate can either be reused directly or efficiently disposed of, and the permeate can be recycled back into the system.
