The PACT system is a process for the treatment of organic materials in wastewater streams. Zimpro Environmental Inc. purchased the patent rights to the process from DuPont, expanded the technology, and now believes that the process fits into the overall scheme of technologies used for treating organics. The PACT system is used to treat aqueous waste streams that are too dilute for oxidation technologies, such as wet air oxidation or incineration, and for waste strems that are too strong to be economically treated with granular activated carbon.
