Werner Mathis produces the Micromat HT beaker dyeing machine. The machine provides for extremely rapid heating and cooling. Other features include direct dye liquor heating, and direct dye liquor temperature measurement. Microwaves used as the heat source provide for maximum heat gradients. Switching over to nozzle type water sprays supplements cooling by means of a fan and heat exchanger. The dye beakers consist of pressure resistant plastic, and 12 beakers of equal size can be loaded on the turntable. Beaker sizes available include 50, 100, 200, 300, and 400 milliliters. The machine's turntable uses a stepless adjustable drive, with the direction of rotation automatically changed at intervals. Liquor ratios of approximately 5:1 or greater are possible. Special yarn holders are available for hank dyeing.
