Researchers investigated an environmentally friendly process for the oxidative decolorization of waste waters with hydrogen peroxide activated by ultraviolet light. An experiment evaluated the impact of treatment on dyebath content according to time dependent reduction of dye intensity and ecological parameters. Results indicated that the waste treatment is suitable for decolorizing triazinyl type reactive azo dyes. 10 refs.
