A case history of the setting up of a wastewater treatment plant in Switzerland at a textile processing plant carrying out mercerizing/causticizing, singeing, dyeing, printing and finishing of 600,000m/month is presented. The plant decolourizes dyehouse wastewater, reduces organic loads by 40-50％, recycles some wastewater for washing, and purifies waste boiler gases.
