Environmentally-friendly colouring process for carpet piece goods

The increasing demand for environmentally friendly processes as far as it affects the dyeing of piece goods for carpets is discussed. Improvements in batch and continuous dyeing processes are reported and problems arising from the development of new fibres and finishes are considered. Closer cooperation between all involved sectors, ie carpet, dye and machinery manufacturers, is advocated.
