The relative diffusion indices of disperse dyes have been determined under high-temperature dyeing conditions. They range from 6.66 to 28.33 and provide a qualitative indication of the dye diffusion profile from the surface to the interior. The results serve to establish the order of magnitude of the diffusion indices in polyester film at 130℃.
