THIES INTRODUCES LUFT-ROTO DYEING PRINCIPLE

German-based Thies, a manufacturer of dyeing and finishing equipment, is introducing the Luft-Rotor (Air-Roto) jet dyeing machine to the United States. The machine is designed for woven and knitted fabrics with sensitive surface structures. A rotating drum in the center of the machine enables fabric to be safely transported. The Luft-Roto has a capacity of 400 pounds per tube; 4 tubes can be installed. The machine features a "vario nozzie," a rectangular nozzle that helps eliminate torque on jersey fabrics, as well as "thermoflush," a wash-off procedure for cotton reactive dyes that reduces water consumption.
