The finishing of circular knitted fabric requires perfect pretreatment, including singeing. Singeing creates a nap-free surface, prevents pilling, and produces a soft hand. Dornier has developed a singeing machine to treat all types and diameters of circular knitted fabrics in the tubular state. The machine features a tubular fabric spreader, eight pivoted burner elements, an extractor, and various additional units.
