Dyes can be stripped from fabric when unevenness has occurred. Either all or partial stripping of th edye can be accomplished. Reducing agents, such as sodium hydrosulfite and zine sulfoxylate formaldehyde, are most widely used to strip dyes. Stripping was conducted using Dedenol Super N, Dedenol OT, and Lynoxyd AR on 100 percent cationic dyeable polyester fabric. Partial stripping of cationic dyes was accomplished using Dedenol Super N combined with Lynoxyd AR; Lynoxyd AR combined with anionic soap; and Dedenol OT with Lynoxyd AR. Lynoxyd AR combined with anionic soap was more effective than Dedenol Super N and Lynoxyd Ar. Complete stripping was accomplished with higher concentrations of Dedenol OT with Lynoxyd AR. Dedenol OT was found more effective than Dedenol Super N. 4 refs.
