Effluent treatment and process optimization in tow dyeing (German)

Effluent treatment at a top-dyeing works is described. The dye-works processes about 15 t top daily, of which about 10 t is wool top. The treatment comprises sedimentation, precipitation, flocculation and neutralization. The dye liquor is recycled. Water consumption is reduced from 70 to 20 1/kg substrate and there is a saving in textile chemicals and auxiliaries. The pollutant concentration is reduced and environmental protection is increased.
