Mezzara's Concord continuous rope washing machine for natural and manmade woven and knit fabrics permits the use of a wide range of treatments, including pretreatment; neutralization after alkalinization or mercerization; relaxation; and washing after bleaching, pad-batch processing, printing, or dyeing. The unit consists of a variable number of sections from 8-14. Squeeze extraction occurs between the sections, leading to a high washing efficiency and low bath contamination. Transportation by an overflow system ensures that the fabric is sumberged in a tensionless state. Each section is an independent unit, fitted with temperature control, heat exchanger, dispenser, circulation pump, removable filters, and electric motors for the squeezing nips. Bath volume is approximately 400 liters per section and holding capacity is approximately 40-50 kilograms per section.
