Despite developments in technology, the textile industry continues to generate a vast amount of waste. Researchers attempted to turn waste products into useful materials that can be utilized by the textile industry. Researchers investigated the appropriate methods of extracting color from waste effluent. They also used instrumental techniques to determine the chemical structure and identify the chromophores of such waste products as orange peels, Chinese tea, and flower petals. As a result of this investigation, they evaluated the dyeing mechanism of natural colorants, the standard affinity and enthalpy change in the coloration system, and the half time activation energy of diffusion and diffusion coefficient of the colorants.
