The present state and future trends of jet and overflow dyeing machines are presented. Many innovations have been introduced to improve the dyeing procedure but the introduction of a system based on the jet propulsion of liquid in a conical tube for the movement of the fabric rope by the American company Gaston County marked a major advance. This was followed by jet systems with total immersion of the fabric rope and overflow systems. The prospects for the market in jet and overflow machines are noted. The main characteristics of the machines currently on the market are appended.
