Ozone based odor removal services provide professional drycleaners with a cost effective method for diversifying their operations and improving customer services. Conventional ozone generators are approximately 24 inches wide, 9 inches high, and 22 inches deep. They pump ozone through an enclosed area in which apparel items are hung a minimum of 3 inches apart with open buttons and zippers, to ensure proper load. Twelve hours of exposure to ozone yields effective neutralization of the molecules that cause odor from smoke, ammonia, mildew, animals, and other sources. Entire pieces of furniture may be placed inside ozone exposure rooms to remove odors from the padding and upholstery.
