a discussion is presented of the standards now being enforced which include: biochemical oxygen-bod demand, chemical oxygen demand-cod, total suspended solids-tss, total dissolved solids-tds, fats oils and greases-fog, and to a lesser extent color. the most toxic contaminant found in textile dyeing waste water are heavy metals which are toxic in even minute concentrations. a test facility is described along with chemical treatment of waste water. color reduction is also discussed
