reuslts are presented from investigations of the reaction of ozone with dyes in aqueous solutions. it is shown that the most rapid stage of the reaction is the stage of decolorization, and when the dye and surfactant are simultaneously present in the rector only partial oxidation of the surfactant occurs. an increase in the efficiency of decolorization of the wastewaters using ozonation in a packing column is noted. 8 refs
